Exude is a premium womens westernwear brand creating sophisticated, versatile clothing for the modern Indian woman. Our designs are created to move with her through her day—from home and office to meetings, dinners and occasions.

We are particularly focused on developing flattering silhouettes for Indian body types, including extended and plus sizes, with an emphasis on fit, construction, comfort and premium finishing.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Pattern Master / CAD Pattern Master with strong expertise in TUCA software to lead pattern development from design concept to production-ready garment.

The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of women’s westernwear pattern making, garment construction, grading and fit correction. You will work closely with the design and production teams to develop accurate patterns that deliver Exude’s signature fit and silhouette.

Key Responsibilities

Pattern Development

- Develop patterns for women’s westernwear including:

- Dresses

- Tops

- Shirts

- Trousers

- Skirts

- Jackets

- Blazers
- Co-ord sets

- Structured garments
- Convert designer sketches, references and samples into accurate production-ready patterns.
- Develop patterns from measurements, reference garments and existing blocks.
- Create and maintain master blocks for different garment categories.

TUCA / CAD

- Create, modify and develop patterns using TUCA CAD software.
- Digitise existing physical patterns into CAD.
- Make pattern alterations and fit corrections digitally.
- Prepare patterns for production and cutting.
- Maintain accurate digital pattern files and revisions.
- Ensure correct seam allowances, notches, grainlines,



drill holes and construction markings.

Fit & Sampling

- Work closely with the sampling team to develop first samples.
- Conduct fitting sessions and identify pattern-related fit issues.
- Make corrections based on fit trials and garment measurements.
- Understand fitting challenges specific to Indian women's body shapes, including bust, waist, hip and tummy variations.
- Develop flattering silhouettes while maintaining comfort and ease of movement.
- Ensure consistency of fit across different sizes.

Grading

- Grade patterns accurately across the required size range.
- Develop grading rules based on Exude's approved size charts.
- Maintain consistency of proportions and fit between sizes.
- Support development of extended and plus-size patterns.

Production

- Prepare final patterns and specifications for bulk production.
- Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams to resolve pattern-related issues.
- Check production samples against approved patterns.
- Ensure patterns are practical for manufacturing and fabric consumption.
- Minimise pattern errors, sampling iterations and production wastage.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience as a Pattern Master / Pattern Maker, preferably in women's westernwear.
- Strong practical knowledge of TUCA CAD software.




- Excellent understanding of women's garment construction.
- Strong knowledge of pattern making, grading and garment fitting.
- Experience working with structured and premium garments is preferred.
- Ability to interpret fashion sketches and convert them into commercially viable patterns.
- Strong understanding of measurements, ease, balance and garment proportions.
- Experience working with different fabrics and their behaviour.
- Ability to independently develop patterns from concept to final production.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is not just a CAD operator, but a technically strong Pattern Master who understands how a garment should sit and fit on the body.

The ideal candidate should be able to look at a design and understand:

“How will this garment actually fit and look on a woman's body?”

You should be comfortable taking ownership of the entire pattern-development process—from the first concept through sampling, fitting, corrections, grading and final production.
