Experience

- Previous experience in an operation theatre is preferred.

- Experience in handling surgical instruments and OT equipment is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the operation theater before every procedure.

- Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and ready for use.

- Assist doctors and nurses during surgical procedures.

- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments according to the procedure.

- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control practices.

- Handle and maintain OT equipment safely.

- Assist in cleaning and setting up the OT after procedures.

- Check availability and expiry dates of medicines, consumables, and sterile items.

- Maintain OT records, registers, and documentation.

- Follow hospital safety and infection-control protocols.

- Assist in shifting and positioning patients safely before and after surgery.

- Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital guidelines.

- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned department.

- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safety within the OT.

- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other OT staff.
