WE’RE HIRING: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS – INDIA & AFRICA Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Operations – India & Africa to join our senior leadership team and act as Regional Head for our hotel portfolio across India and Africa.

Position: Full-Time | Senior Executive Leadership THE ROLE This is a senior regional leadership position with overall responsibility for the operational, commercial and financial performance of our growing portfolio of hotels and resorts across India and Africa.

The Director of Operations will act as the senior operational representative of Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts within the region, providing leadership to the Corporate Operations team and Hotel General Managers while working directly with the Founder & CEO.

We are looking for a hands-on hotelier and business leader who understands that successful hotel operations are measured not only by service standards, but also by revenue, profitability, owner satisfaction, guest experience and asset performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will:

- Act as Regional Head for India & Africa and take ownership of regional hotel performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to Corporate Operations and Hotel General Managers.
- Drive achievement of revenue, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, EBITDA and budget targets.
- Review hotel P&Ls;, forecasts, operating costs and profitability.




- Ensure underperforming hotels have clear and measurable recovery plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, investors and operating partners.
- Ensure hotels consistently achieve Eight Continents' operational, service and brand standards.
- Conduct regular property visits, operational reviews and quality audits across the portfolio.
- Work closely with Sales, Revenue Management and Marketing to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
- Oversee guest satisfaction, online reputation and service standards.
- Drive strong controls across payroll, procurement, food cost, utilities and operating expenditure.
- Maintain oversight of Housekeeping, F&B;, Front Office, Engineering, Maintenance and Back-of-House standards.
- Ensure General Managers are accountable for both top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability.
- Support new hotel openings, management takeovers, conversions and operational transitions.
- Participate in the evaluation of new hotel opportunities from an operational and commercial perspective.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, statutory and company requirements across the region.
- Develop strong hotel leadership teams and succession planning across the portfolio.





WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are particularly interested in candidates with:

- 15–20 years of progressive hotel industry experience
- Significant experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Director of Operations, Regional Head, Cluster General Manager or senior multi-property General Manager
- Proven multi-property hotel management experience
- Strong understanding of hotel P&L; and financial performance
- Demonstrable experience improving GOP and hotel profitability
- Experience managing and developing Hotel General Managers
- Robust owner and stakeholder management experience
- Experience with hotel openings, conversions and management takeovers
- Strong Rooms and Food & Beverage operational knowledge
- Strong commercial understanding of Sales, Revenue Management and distribution
- International hotel experience

Experience working within India and/or African hospitality markets will be highly advantageous.

We are looking for an operational leader who will spend time inside the hotels, understand what is happening on the ground, identify problems early and ensure they are resolved.

This is not a desk-based corporate position.

The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple hotels, challenging performance, dealing directly with owners and taking responsibility for results across a geographically diverse portfolio.
