About The Role We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Client of SCHS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and APIs that power our innovative applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, data scientists, and system architects, to deliver scalable and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Node.js and related technologies, with a keen interest in AI and machine learning integrations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that utilize AI/ML use cases such as data extraction, document processing, recommendations, and predictive insights, ultimately shaping the future of our digital offerings.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. They should have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in backend or software development, with a strong proficiency in Node.js.

A deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, asynchronous programming, and backend architecture is essential.



Candidates should have experience developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs and possess solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, complex queries, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices is required.

Additionally, candidates should have a good grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

Experience in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, along with exposure to unit and integration testing, is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants with experience integrating backend APIs with frontend frameworks like React.js and those with an interest or experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or data processing fields.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js. You will build scalable and secure REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring they are reusable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested.

Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas and queries will be a key part of your role, along with collaborating with frontend developers to facilitate seamless API integration. You will participate in system design discussions, perform code reviews, and contribute to technical decision-making processes. Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner is essential to maintain system reliability.

Implementing security measures such as authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms will be part of your responsibilities. You will also work on AI/ML use cases,



including data extraction, document processing, recommendations, and predictive insights, by building and maintaining data pipelines for structured and unstructured data. Integrating AI services, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning models into business workflows will be a core focus.

Additionally, you will contribute to cloud-based deployments and DevOps activities, ensuring smooth operation and scalability of applications. Optionally, you may contribute to frontend development using React.js, supporting full-stack development efforts.
