Role Description The New Product Development Manager will lead end-to-end development of new agri-related products and solutions, from concept to launch, in alignment with BigHaat’s farmer-centric strategy. This full-time, on-site role based in Mysore involves conducting market and technical research, defining product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D;, operations, procurement, marketing, and sales. The manager will oversee project timelines, budgets, testing, and quality validation, ensuring products meet regulatory, safety, and performance standards.

Daily responsibilities include analyzing farmer and manufacturer feedback,



monitoring product performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and preparing reports and recommendations for leadership. The role also involves building partnerships with external labs, suppliers, and technology providers to support innovation and scalability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Research and Development (R&D;), with experience in designing, testing, and optimizing recent products.
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Technology and Food Science, including knowledge of formulations, processing, quality parameters, and regulatory standards.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management capabilities to plan, execute, and track product development initiatives within time and budget constraints.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with the Food Industry or agri-inputs sector, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related disciplines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights from data and farmer feedback into product requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience in product lifecycle management, process improvement, and adherence to safety and quality standards is highly beneficial.
