Microservices Engineer / SRE

What you'll do:

- Design, build, test, deploy & operate resilient microservices, APIs and integration services using cloud-native patterns

- Support the full lifecycle: design development release production readiness incident/problem management

- Embed reliability, observability, security & performance into microservice design

- Collaborate across engineering, SRE, platform, product & supplier teams to strengthen build-and-run ownership

What you'll bring:

- Strong experience as a Microservices/Software Engineer, SRE, Platform or DevOps Engineer in cloud-native environments

- Hands-on Java engineering (Spring Boot or equivalent) API design, development, testing, debugging, production support

- Experience with REST APIs, event-driven patterns,



service-to-service communication & resilience patterns

- Working knowledge of Python and/or Go for automation, tooling & platform services

- Hands-on Kubernetes/GKE experience — containers, deployments, ingress, networking, scaling, troubleshooting

- Solid CI/CD, automated testing, code quality & release automation experience

- Good understanding of Kafka/messaging — producers, consumers, topics, consumer lag, monitoring

- Observability experience — metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, incident response

- Strong grasp of non-functional requirements: performance, resilience, security, capacity, availability
