Job Title: Medical Technologist - Blood Centre / Blood BankJob OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our growing Blood Centre team. In this role, you will perform critical laboratory testing, blood component processing, and quality control procedures to ensure the safety and availability of life-saving blood products. If you are passionate about immunohematology, patient safety, and precision medicine, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Testing & Typing: Perform blood grouping (ABO/Rh typing), crossmatching, antibody screening, and phenotyping for pre-transfusion testing.

- Component Processing: Separate whole blood into components including packed red blood cells (PRBCs), fresh frozen plasma (FFP), and platelets using specialized centrifuges.

- Infectious Disease Screening: Test collected donor units for transfusion-transmitted infections (TTIs) following strict regulatory guidelines.

- Inventory & Storage: Monitor and manage the inventory of blood components, ensuring products are stored at optimal temperatures and rotated effectively.

- Quality Assurance: Calibrate, maintain,



and troubleshoot automated laboratory analyzers, ensuring all daily quality control (QC) logs are complete.

- Compliance: Adhere strictly to biosafety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and national regulatory guidelines for blood banking.

Qualifications and Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT), Immunohematology, or a related biological science.

- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a licensed blood bank or blood centre preferred (Open to hiring strong new graduates).

- Technical Skills: Proficiency with automated cell counters, blood bank analyzers, and laboratory information systems (LIS).

- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in emergency crossmatch situations.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
