Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will work on-site in Jamshedpur in a full-time capacity, ensuring reliable operation of mechanical equipment and production lines. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, and executing maintenance and repair activities on furnaces, robotic systems, rolling machines, shot peening equipment, and paint lines. The role involves planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating with production and quality teams to minimize downtime, and maintaining detailed maintenance records.





The engineer will support continuous improvement initiatives, adhere to safety and environmental standards, and contribute to optimizing equipment performance and lifecycle. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and OEMs may be required to resolve complex technical problems and support equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

- Solid mechanical maintenance skills, including Mechanical Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance for industrial machinery and automated systems.
- Proficiency in Maintenance Engineering, with the ability to plan and manage maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Preventive Maintenance, including developing and executing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Hands-on capabilities in Maintenance & Repair, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for mechanical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with automated production lines, Press Machine Hydraulic Machine and heat treatment processes is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety standards, quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949), and basic industrial control systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Jamshedpur.
