1. Job Purpose To manage and coordinate day-to-day production and factory operations of the Fruit Division, ensuring timely production as per business requirements while maintaining product quality, food-safety standards, productivity, yield, cost control and efficient utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.

2. Key Responsibilities – Production Planning & Execution

● Prepare daily, weekly and seasonal production plans based on demand, inventory and dispatch requirements.

● Plan production schedules considering raw-material availability, WIP, finished-goods requirements and processing capacity.

● Monitor daily production against planned targets and take corrective action for deviations.

● Ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.

● Monitor production output, process losses, yield and batch consistency.

3. Fruit Processing Operations

● Manage processing of fresh fruits and fruit pulp products including Sitaphal, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Guava, Kala Jamun, Jackfruit and other seasonal fruits.

● Monitor fruit receiving, ripening, sorting, processing, pulping, packing and WIP movement.

● Ensure optimum utilization of raw material and minimize processing losses and wastage.

● Monitor seasonal fruit processing capacity and coordinate production requirements.

4. Raw Material & Material Planning

● Coordinate requirements of fresh fruits, dry fruits, ingredients, packaging materials, labels and other production consumables.

● Ensure availability of required materials before production.

● Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams for timely material availability.

● Monitor material consumption and identify abnormal consumption or shortages.

5. Manpower Management

● Plan manpower deployment according to production requirements.

● Allocate work responsibilities to supervisors and production staff.

● Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and work performance.

● Train and guide production employees on process requirements, SOPs, GMP and hygiene practices.

● Ensure effective utilization of manpower and production hours.

6. Quality & Food Safety

● Ensure production is carried out according to approved SOPs, process parameters and quality standards.

● Maintain compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP and GHP requirements.

● Coordinate with QA for quality issues, deviations, corrective actions and product release.

● Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation,



housekeeping and pest-control practices within production areas.

● Support internal and external audits and implementation of corrective actions.

7. Inventory, WIP & Warehouse Coordination

● Monitor raw-material, WIP and finished-goods inventory.

● Coordinate movement of material between receiving, processing, WIP storage, cold rooms and finished-goods areas.

● Ensure proper stock rotation and traceability.

● Reconcile production consumption, WIP and finished-stock records.

● Coordinate with Warehouse and Dispatch teams for timely movement of finished products.

8. Machinery & Maintenance Coordination

● Monitor equipment performance and production-line uptime.

● Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with the Maintenance team.

● Report and follow up on machine breakdowns and operational issues.

● Coordinate trials and process improvements related to machinery and equipment.

● Ensure production equipment is operated safely and as per defined procedures.

9. Production MIS & Documentation

● Prepare daily production reports and management MIS.

● Maintain production records, batch records, material consumption and WIP records.

● Monitor planned versus actual production.

● Track yield, wastage, downtime, productivity and other key production parameters.

● Provide regular updates to management regarding production status and operational issues.

● Presentation of monthly MIS to the top management

10. Process Improvement & Cost Control

● Identify opportunities for improvement in production flow, manpower utilization, yield and productivity.

● Implement initiatives for reduction of material wastage and process losses.

● Support SOP improvements and process standardization.

● Identify operational bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions.

● Contribute towards productivity improvement and cost optimization.

11. New Product Development & Trials

● Support NPD trials and commercialization of recent or modified products.

● Coordinate raw materials, process parameters, packaging,



labels and production readiness for trials.

● Conduct production trials in coordination with QA, R&D;/NPD and management.

● Support process validation and improvement activities.

12. Cross-Functional Coordination

● Coordinate with Procurement, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Dispatch/Logistics, NPD/R&D;, HR/Administration and Management to ensure smooth end-to-end factory operations.

13. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

● Production plan achievement; production output and productivity; yield improvement; reduction in process losses and wastage; material consumption control; manpower productivity; machine/line uptime; production downtime; WIP and inventory control; batch quality and consistency; food-safety compliance; on-time production and dispatch support; SOP/process compliance; cost optimization.

14. Team Management

● Manage and coordinate Production Supervisors, Production Executive, Quality Executive and production workforce as per operational requirements.

● Responsible for manpower planning, daily work allocation, supervision, training, performance monitoring and coordination of production activities.

15. Qualification & Experience

● Qualification: M.Tech./B.Tech./M.Sc. or B.Sc. Food/Dairy/Agriculture/Horticulture or equivalent relevant qualification;

● Strong hands-on experience in factory operations and seasonal fresh fruit processing.

Role Accountability The Assistant Manager – Production is accountable for the safe, efficient and timely execution of production activities, ensuring optimum utilization of manpower, materials and machinery while maintaining required quality, food-safety, productivity, yield and cost parameters.

Pay: ₹850,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
