About the Role
As Manager, Transformation & Operations, you will own transformation workstreams and operational initiatives within A&M;’s Corporate Shared Services team in the Gurgaon Global Capability Center. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Shared Services & Operations, you will convert strategic priorities into executable plans, reliable transitions, improved processes, and reusable operating capability. Your scope will span GCC/GBS transition planning, process design, documentation, business-case analysis, and operational excellence across functions such as HR, Marketing, and IT.
This is a senior execution role for a hands-on operator with consulting rigor. You will work independently with functional teams, local operations, regional partners, and senior leaders while influencing without direct authority. The role is not a people-management position or a client-facing advisory role, although you will mentor junior colleagues and contribute to capability building.
Key Responsibilities
- Own two to three transformation or operational workstreams from planning through execution, using structured project plans, risk controls, quality reviews, and leadership reporting to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Execute GCC process transitions through detailed plans, handover controls, process documentation, training content, and change support that enable stable adoption by functional and operations teams.
- Design and maintain reusable playbooks, job aids, process libraries, and knowledge assets that codify best practices, improve consistency, and reduce dependency on individual process owners.
- Analyze costs, volumes, productivity,
and efficiency metrics to identify improvement opportunities and build financial models, ROI calculations, and business cases for leadership decisions.
- Translate complex operational information into clear leadership updates, recommendations, and implementation priorities that support operating model governance and timely decisions.
- Partner with HR, Marketing, IT, regional teams, and GCC operations to resolve dependencies, influence without direct authority, and maintain momentum across interconnected initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members in consulting-style problem-solving, documentation standards, and execution discipline while supporting training plans for new associates.
- Track lessons learned and transition outcomes to strengthen future implementation methods, improve operational readiness, and build scalable capability across the growing GCC.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- 10–15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in GCC/GBS transformation, shared services, operations consulting, or project-delivery-focused corporate operations roles.
- Strong knowledge of GCC/GBS operating models, shared services best practices, transition planning, process improvement, process documentation, and execution-level change management.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex workstreams from planning through delivery, with the ability to manage risks, dependencies, deliverable quality, and multiple moving pieces independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including cost, volume, efficiency, financial modelling, business-case development, and ROI analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to create clear documentation, training materials, leadership updates, and actionable recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and present findings effectively to functional leaders and operations teams.
- Master of Business Administration in Operations or Finance, with prior consulting firm experience and knowledge of India GCC or multinational shared services environments preferred.
Additional Plus
- Experience delivering GCC/GBS transformation engagements, shared services implementations, or operating model transitions across multiple corporate functions.
- Prior experience in a Big Four firm, boutique consulting firm, consulting practice, or a comparable transformation-focused operations environment.
- Exposure to building reusable playbooks, process libraries, training programs, and capability-development mechanisms for growing operations teams.
What You'll Bring
- You bring 10–15 years of professional experience, including 10 or more years in GCC/GBS transformation, operations consulting, shared services, or project-delivery-focused corporate operations. Your experience shows sustained ownership of complex execution rather than strategy recommendations alone.
- You bring hands-on capability in workstream management, transition planning, process improvement, documentation, and change execution. You can turn broad priorities into detailed plans, control risks, maintain quality, and deliver outcomes with limited supervision.
- You bring strong analytical and commercial judgment, including the ability to assess costs, volumes, efficiency, ROI, and operating trade-offs. You can build credible financial models and business cases that help leaders prioritize investments and improvements.
- You bring a Master of Business Administration in Operations or Finance and communicate with clarity across senior leaders, functional teams, regional partners, and operations colleagues. You influence without authority, manage detail, mentor others, and remain effective in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
