Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across two manufacturing units.

The key objective of this role is to improve maintenance performance through measurable improvements in MTTR, MTBF, unplanned downtime, preventive maintenance adherence, maintenance cost and repeat failure elimination.

The candidate will be responsible for developing a structured, preventive and data-driven maintenance system rather than focusing only on breakdown management.

Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Planned Maintenance

- Manage and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules across both units.
- Maintain asset registers, machine history cards and mould/tooling maintenance records.
- Plan and execute shutdown and annual maintenance activities.
- Drive the transition from breakdown-based to planned maintenance.

Breakdown & Failure Management

- Ensure quick and safe breakdown response across all shifts.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring breakdowns.
- Track corrective actions and ensure permanent elimination of chronic problems.
- Maintain a chronic breakdown/problem register with action plans and timelines.

Team Management

- Manage maintenance engineers, supervisors and mechanical/electrical technicians.




- Plan manpower deployment and shift rosters across both units.
- Assign daily maintenance activities and monitor work quality and completion.
- Develop technician skills through skill matrices and training plans.
- Conduct daily maintenance reviews and coordinate with Production.

Spares, Vendors & Cost Control

- Manage critical maintenance spares, reorder levels and stock accuracy.
- Monitor maintenance indents, repair jobs and maintenance expenditure.
- Manage AMC contracts and service vendors.
- Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for technical issues, repairs and closures.

Maintenance Data & Reporting

- Track and report MTTR, MTBF, unplanned downtime, PM adherence, maintenance cost and spares position.
- Ensure maintenance data is recorded accurately and on time.
- Analyse maintenance trends and present monthly performance reports to management.
- Support implementation and use of CMMS/ERP maintenance systems.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with LOTO, Permit-to-Work, Work-at-Height, Hot Work and Confined Space procedures.
- Ensure maintenance compliance with BRCGS requirements.
- Maintain statutory electrical and equipment compliance records.
- Support customer, certification and statutory audits.

Equipment / Asset Exposure Experience with some or most of the following is required:

- Thermoforming machines and ancillaries
- Sheet extrusion lines
- Granulators, grinders, conveying and mixing systems
- Moulds and tooling
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Air compressors and dryers
- DG sets




- HT/LT panels and electrical distribution
- Water systems
- Plant infrastructure and civil maintenance

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 10–12 years of experience in plant maintenance.
- Minimum 3–4 years in Assistant Manager / Manager-level maintenance leadership.
- Experience in plastics processing, preferably thermoforming, extrusion, injection moulding or similar.
- Proven experience in improving maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, downtime and PM adherence.
- Solid working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience in mould and tooling maintenance.
- Experience with utilities such as chillers, compressors, DG sets and HT/LT systems.
- Good knowledge of Excel and ability to maintain maintenance dashboards.
- Experience with CMMS or ERP maintenance modules.
- Good English communication for OEM/vendor correspondence; Hindi or Gujarati for shop-floor communication.

Preferred / Added Advantage

- Experience in food packaging, FMCG or food-contact manufacturing.
- Exposure to BRCGS, FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000.
- Experience managing maintenance across multiple manufacturing units.
- TPM, RCM or Six Sigma training.
- Experience implementing CMMS/ERP maintenance systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The role will be measured against agreed baselines for:

- Reduction in MTTR
- Improvement in MTBF
- Reduction in unplanned downtime
- Improvement in PM schedule adherence
- Elimination of repeat failures
- Improvement in critical spares availability
- Reduction in maintenance cost per unit of production
- Zero safety and BRCGS non-conformances within maintenance scope

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
