LEAD TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER

Location: Pune

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Program Manager to drive complex, enterprise-scale technology programs within a large Agile/SAFe environment.

The organization operates across multiple Agile Release Trains and a large number of engineering teams, with the program function evolving toward a stronger PMO and enterprise governance model.

This role requires a hands-on program leader who can independently drive execution, connect multiple teams and applications, identify risks and dependencies early, establish program-level governance, and communicate effectively with senior engineering, product and business stakeholders.

This is a Lead TPM role and is intended for candidates already operating at Lead/Principal TPM or equivalent program-leadership level.

Key Responsibilities

- Own planning, coordination and execution of complex technical programs spanning multiple engineering, product and cross-functional teams.
- Translate business and technology objectives into executable program plans, milestones, delivery commitments and measurable outcomes.
- Drive program governance, PMO processes, KPIs, metrics and monthly reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Map and manage cross-team, cross-application and cross-program dependencies and proactively identify delivery risks and bottlenecks.
- Own RAID management,



mitigation planning, escalation and contingency actions through program execution.
- Drive SAFe practices, PI Planning, Agile Release Train coordination and program-level delivery alignment.
- Manage enterprise release activities, readiness, milestones, dependencies and stakeholder commitments.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, program updates and decision material.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, PMO and Business stakeholders to resolve competing priorities and delivery challenges.
- Understand application architecture at a conceptual level to identify technical dependencies, integration points and delivery risks.
- Operate independently in a fast-changing environment and demonstrate strong ownership without requiring continuous direction.
- Support infrastructure/platform initiatives such as cloud migration, server modernization or technology transformation where applicable.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve program reporting, meeting summaries and PMO efficiency.

Mandatory Skills

- 10+ years of relevant Technical Program / Program Management experience
- Current experience at Lead TPM / Principal TPM / equivalent program leadership level




- Strong enterprise technology delivery experience across multiple teams/workstreams
- Robust SAFe / Agile / PI Planning / ART experience
- Strong PMO governance and program reporting experience
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
- Strong RAID, risk, issue and dependency management
- Strong executive stakeholder management and communication
- Experience creating and managing KPIs, metrics, dashboards and monthly program reporting
- Demonstrated ability to drive programs end-to-end with independent ownership
- Ability to work with Engineering and Architecture teams and understand technical dependencies conceptually
- Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams

Good to Have

- Infrastructure modernization / cloud migration / platform transformation experience
- Enterprise release management experience
- Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted productivity/reporting experience
- Python or API-based automation for Jira/Confluence reporting
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Payments or other large regulated enterprises
- Jira Align / Azure DevOps / Rally experience
