About the Role

Growwell Capital Advisors LLP is looking for a Junior Trader to join its trading team and contribute directly to the company’s trading performance.

The role involves actively monitoring financial markets, identifying trading opportunities, executing trades across approved strategies, and managing positions within the company’s defined Risk Management System (RMS) framework.

The ideal candidate should have a robust interest in financial markets, sound analytical ability, disciplined risk management, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-moving market environment.

The primary objective of the role is to generate consistent risk-adjusted returns on the capital allocated for trading while strictly operating within the company’s risk parameters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Monitoring & Opportunity Identification

- Continuously monitor market movements, price action, volatility, volumes, and relevant market developments.
- Identify potential trading opportunities across approved market segments and instruments.
- Track market conditions to identify short-term and intraday opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential arbitrage opportunities arising from price discrepancies across markets, instruments, or trading venues.
- Stay updated on relevant market news, events, and factors that may impact trading decisions.

2. Trade Execution & Strategy Implementation

- Execute trades in accordance with approved trading strategies and company guidelines.
- Take trading positions based on prevailing market conditions, identified opportunities, and defined strategy parameters.
- Apply appropriate position sizing and trade management techniques.
- Monitor open positions and take timely action based on changing market conditions.
- Explore and evaluate different trading strategies under the guidance of senior team members.

3. Risk Management

- Strictly adhere to the company’s RMS policy, trading limits, position limits, and risk parameters.
- Ensure that all trading activity remains within approved risk levels.
- Monitor exposure, open positions, drawdowns,



and potential downside on an ongoing basis.
- Avoid unauthorized or excessive risk-taking and promptly escalate situations that may breach defined risk parameters.
- Maintain discipline in trade execution, particularly during periods of high market volatility.

4. Performance & Return Generation

- Work towards generating consistent returns on the capital allocated for trading.
- Focus on sustainable and risk-adjusted returns rather than individual high-risk trades.
- Track trading performance and analyze P&L;, win/loss patterns, drawdowns, and strategy-level performance.
- Conduct regular post-trade analysis to understand what worked, what did not, and where execution or strategy can be improved.
- Contribute ideas for improving existing strategies and identifying new trading opportunities.

5. Trade Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of trades, positions, strategies, and trading outcomes.
- Maintain a trading journal and document the rationale behind significant trades where required.
- Prepare and share relevant trading performance updates and reports.
- Ensure complete accuracy and discipline in all trading-related records.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) / KPIs The performance of the Junior Trader will primarily be evaluated on:

- Consistent risk-adjusted ROI* generated on allocated trading capital.
- Adherence to the company’s RMS policy and defined risk parameters.
- Trading discipline and quality of trade execution.
- Identification and successful execution of viable trading opportunities.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities.
- Control of drawdowns and avoidance of excessive or unauthorized risk.
- Consistency of trading performance over a sustained period.




- Quality of post-trade analysis and contribution towards improving trading strategies.
- Accuracy and discipline in maintaining trade records and reports.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior exposure to equity, derivatives, commodities, or other financial markets will be an advantage.
- Candidates with prior personal trading experience, internship experience, or exposure to live market environments may be preferred.
- Familiarity with trading terminals, charting platforms, spreadsheets, or market-analysis tools will be an advantage.
- Relevant market-related certifications such as NISM certifications would be an added advantage.
