Junior Project Engineer

Responsible for supporting the execution, installation, commissioning, functional testing and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and utility systems for pharmaceutical, life-science and industrial projects. The role involves coordination with project teams, vendors and contractors to ensure secure, timely and technically compliant completion of engineering and commissioning activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute and support commissioning activities for utility and mechanical systems, including chilled water, cooling water, HVAC and other utility distribution systems.

- Support installation, inspection and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, utility skids and package equipment.

- Perform pre-commissioning activities, including equipment inspection, installation verification, line-up checks, mechanical completion checks and readiness verification.

- Conduct functional checks and operational testing of mechanical equipment and utility systems in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.

- Support chiller commissioning, including equipment checks, utility connections, operating parameter verification and functional performance checks.

- Support heat exchanger commissioning, including inspection of connections, flow paths, utility circulation and functional checks.

- Assist in commissioning of utility skids and packaged mechanical systems, including verification of equipment, piping, valves, instruments and associated components.

- Review P&IDs;, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, specifications and engineering documents to support site execution and commissioning activities.

- Coordinate with vendors,



contractors and site teams for equipment installation, testing, commissioning and resolution of technical issues.

- Identify equipment and system issues during commissioning and support troubleshooting and corrective actions.

- Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, checklists, test records, inspection reports and punch-list records.

- Prepare, track and support closure of commissioning punch points in coordination with engineering, construction and vendor teams.

- Support equipment qualification activities, including preparation and execution of basic qualification-related checks and documentation where applicable.

- Verify mechanical systems against approved engineering documentation and support site acceptance and system handover activities.

- Monitor site activities to ensure execution is aligned with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements and project schedules.

- Maintain appropriate project and commissioning records and provide regular status updates to project management.

- Provide technical support during start-up, trial runs, troubleshooting and performance verification of utility and mechanical systems.

- Support continuous improvement of commissioning practices, documentation and execution methodologies for pharmaceutical and life-science projects.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
