We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our agile team at Unique Properties Head Office. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping and need to have a good background in accounting, with specific experience in the real estate development sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the real estate industry.
Note: Experience with a Real Estate Developer or a Real Estate Developer client shall be preferred
Key Responsibilities:
I. General Ledger Maintenance:
a. Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger by recording daily transactions.
b. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
c. Maintaining accurate filing of records.
II. Accounts Payable:
a. Process invoices, verify expenses, and reconcile statements.
b. Timely and accurate processing of payments.
III. Accounts Receivable:
a. Assist in the preparation of customer invoices.
IV. Bank Reconciliation:
a.
Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
b. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
V. Financial Reporting:
a. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
b. Generate financial statements for review.
VI. Budget Monitoring:
a. Provide support in budget preparation.
VII. Audit Support:
a. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary data/documentation.
b. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- 2 to 3 experience in accounting. (real estate industry shall be preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP 9 & Tally Prime, Winman.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
