Reporting To: QA Manager / QA Head

Job Purpose To ensure that manufacturing and packing activities are carried out as per approved SOPs, GMP requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The IPQA Executive is responsible for in-process quality monitoring, documentation, line clearance, and compliance on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

- In-Process Quality Monitoring
- Monitor manufacturing and packing activities as per approved SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR/BPR).
- Perform in-process checks at defined stages of production.
- Verify parameters such as appearance, colour, odour, pH, viscosity, weight, volume, filling, sealing, coding, etc., as applicable.
- Ensure that products are manufactured within approved specifications.
- Line Clearance
- Perform line clearance before starting manufacturing, filling, packing, and changeover activities.
- Verify cleanliness of equipment, area, and production lines.
- Ensure removal of previous product, labels, packaging materials, and documents.
- Documentation & Records
- Review and verify BMR/BPR and other manufacturing records.
- Ensure entries are complete, accurate, and made in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintain IPQA records, checklists, logbooks, and inspection reports.
- Report and document any discrepancies or deviations.
- GMP & SOP Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, hygiene, safety, and quality requirements.
- Monitor personnel practices,



gowning/PPE, housekeeping, and hygiene in production areas.
- Identify GMP deficiencies and communicate them to the concerned department.
- Sampling & Testing Coordination
- Collect or coordinate collection of in-process and finished-product samples as per approved procedures.
- Coordinate with QC for testing of samples.
- Follow up on test results and communicate any abnormal results to QA management.
- Deviation & CAPA
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and process-related quality issues.
- Support investigation of deviations and implementation of CAPA.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions related to production quality issues.
- Equipment & Process Verification
- Verify equipment status, calibration status, and cleanliness before use.
- Monitor critical process parameters during manufacturing.
- Ensure proper status labeling of equipment, rooms, materials, and products.
- Packing & Dispatch Quality Checks
- Verify packing materials, batch details, MRP, manufacturing/expiry dates, batch numbers, labels, coding, and quantities.
- Perform online packing inspections.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of packaging materials wherever applicable.
- Audit & Inspection Support
- Support internal audits, customer audits,



regulatory inspections, and GMP inspections.
- Ensure timely closure of observations related to IPQA activities.
- Training & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in GMP, SOP, hygiene, and quality-related training.
- Identify recurring quality issues and suggest improvements.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments for quality compliance.

Key Skills Required

- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, SOPs and QA practices.
- Knowledge of cosmetic/pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of BMR/BPR and documentation.
- Knowledge of line clearance and in-process checks.
- Basic knowledge of deviation, CAPA and change control.
- Valuable observation and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Computer knowledge, particularly MS Excel and Word.

Qualification B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. / Diploma in Pharmacy or relevant qualification, depending on company requirements.

Experience

1–5 years of experience in IPQA/QA in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, personal care, beauty care, or related manufacturing industries.

- Timely completion of line clearance.
- Accuracy and completeness of batch documentation.
- Compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
- Reduction in deviations and recurring quality issues.
- Timely reporting of quality observations.
- Audit compliance and timely closure of observations.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
