IPD Billing Executive

Job Summary The IPD Billing Executive is responsible for managing billing and financial documentation for patients admitted to the hospital. The role includes preparing admission and discharge bills, updating patient charges, coordinating with insurance/TPA departments, and ensuring accurate and timely billing.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain IPD (In-Patient Department) bills accurately.

- Update patient accounts with charges for room, medicines, investigations, procedures, doctor visits, and other hospital services.

- Verify daily patient billing and identify discrepancies.

- Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, OT, radiology, and other departments for charge capture.

- Handle advance payments, deposits, refunds, and final settlements.

- Prepare final bills at the time of patient discharge.

- Coordinate with TPA/insurance companies for cashless and reimbursement cases.

- Verify insurance approvals, deductions, non-payable items, and patient liabilities.





- Maintain proper billing records and supporting documents.

- Resolve billing-related queries from patients, attendants, insurance companies, and hospital departments.

- Follow hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and applicable procedures.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
