Mechanic Intern (Service Department)

Internship Objective To provide practical training to students in two-wheeler service, maintenance, diagnostics, and workshop operations while developing technical skills, discipline, and qualified work ethics.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist senior technicians in periodic maintenance and general servicing of Royal Enfield motorcycles.
- Learn vehicle inspection procedures before and after service.
- Assist in engine oil replacement, oil filter replacement, and lubrication work.
- Learn to inspect and service brakes, clutch, chain, suspension, steering, and wheels.
- Assist in battery inspection, charging, and replacement procedures.
- Observe and assist in electrical diagnostics using workshop tools.
- Learn basic engine troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and equipment.
- Follow job card instructions and complete assigned work under supervision.
- Assist in washing, final inspection, and vehicle delivery preparation.
- Follow all workshop safety rules and wear the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handle customer vehicles carefully and responsibly.
- Report any defects or abnormal conditions immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and regular attendance throughout the internship.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company processes and customer information.

Eligibility
- ITI (Motor Mechanic Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic / Automobile)
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical or Automobile Engineering students

Skills Required

- Positive attitude and discipline

Internship Rules
- Attendance is mandatory as per company working hours.
- Interns must wear the prescribed uniform and safety shoes.
- Mobile phone usage during working hours is prohibited except with supervisor approval.
- Safety instructions must be followed at all times.
- Damage caused due to negligence may result in disciplinary action.
- Completion of the internship is subject to satisfactory performance, attendance, and discipline.

Certificate An Internship Completion Certificate and Stipend will be issued upon successful completion of the internship, subject to satisfactory performance and compliance with company rules and policies.
