Role Description The Interior Designer and Planner Intern will support the design and execution of interior projects for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, with a focus on wooden solutions. This full time, on-site role is based in Indore and involves assisting with space planning, developing design concepts, and preparing layouts for flooring, cladding, decking, and other wooden applications.

The intern will help create construction drawings, select materials and finishes, and coordinate FF&E; (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) in line with project requirements.



Daily tasks include collaborating with senior designers, conducting site visits and measurements, preparing presentations, and updating project documentation. The role also involves working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure designs are feasible, align with budget and timelines, and reflect Signify Wood’s standards for quality and innovation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to develop functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings to support accurate plans and technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in FF&E; to assist with selecting and coordinating furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and MS Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and presentation skills; familiarity with materials, finishes, and wood products is an advantage.
