Role Description The Interior Contracting Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement for interior contracting projects, including sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.

The Purchase

Manager will prepare and process purchase orders, maintain accurate inventory and procurement records, and align purchases with project budgets and quality standards. The role requires close coordination with project managers, site supervisors, designers, and subcontractors to understand material specifications and project timelines.

Manager will regularly evaluate suppliers, track market rates, optimize costs, and support compliance with company policies and ISO procedures.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in procurement and vendor management, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order processing.
- Strong knowledge of interior contracting materials and services such as carpentry items, gypsum and partition materials, electrical and plumbing fixtures, paints, polishes, and HVAC-related supplies.
- Ability to manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to multiple project sites.
- Experience in budget control, cost optimization, and basic commercial understanding of contracts, quotations, and invoices.
- Competence in using MS Office and relevant ERP or procurement software for documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with project teams, site staff, vendors, and management.
- Solid attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in interior contracting, construction, or fit-out industry in a purchase or procurement role is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Civil/Interior/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of ISO or similar quality management systems and adherence to company policies and ethical procurement practices.
