Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ignition Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of Industrial IoT (IIoT), SCADA, MES, and Digital Manufacturing solutions using the Ignition platform. The candidate should be capable of independently driving technical solutioning, establishing architecture standards, and reviewing the work of development teams to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

Architect end-to-end Ignition-based IIoT and SCADA solutions.

Define technical standards, design principles, and development frameworks.

Review and approve solution designs, code, and deployment approaches.

Lead technical discussions with clients, business stakeholders, and project teams.

Mentor developers and conduct design/code reviews.

Ignition Development & Configuration

Design and develop Ignition Perspective and Vision applications.

Create reusable templates, UDTs, scripts, and component libraries.

Configure Tag Providers, Tag Historian, Alarming, and Reporting modules.

Develop responsive dashboards, KPI visualizations, and operational screens.

Implement role-based access control and security configurations.

Integration & Connectivity

Integrate Ignition with PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, Historian, and cloud platforms.

Design interfaces using OPC-UA, MQTT, REST APIs, SQL, and web services.

Implement enterprise-grade OT/IT integration architectures.

Support Unified Namespace (UNS) and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Performance & Governance





Optimize system scalability, reliability, and performance.

Establish development best practices, coding standards, and CI/CD processes.

Drive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Ensure solution compliance with cybersecurity and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.

8-10 years of experience in Industrial Automation, SCADA, MES, or IIoT solutions.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition platform.

Robust expertise in Ignition Perspective, Vision, Tag Historian, Alarming, Reporting, and Gateway configurations.

Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.

Strong understanding of OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, and industrial communication protocols.

Experience integrating with PLCs, SCADA, ERP, MES, and cloud platforms.

Proven ability to independently drive technical delivery and mentor teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Ignition Core and Gold Certification.

Experience with Sepasoft MES modules.

Exposure to Azure, AWS, or industrial cloud platforms.

Knowledge of ISA-95, Industry 4.0, Digital Twin, and IIoT architectures.

Experience in manufacturing, automotive, logistics, consumer products, or process industries.
