Position Title: Heavy Fabrication Fitter / Welder-Fitter

In-Hand Salary: ₹23,000 – ₹26,000 per month (Based on skills and evaluation)
Job Overview
We are looking for 02 experienced Heavy Fabrication Fitters to join our manufacturing and production team. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in structural metal fabrication, precise alignment of heavy plates/components, reading technical engineering drawings, and performing tack welding for assembly.
Key Responsibilities
Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex 2D/3D fabrication drawings, structural blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
Material Preparation & Layout: Perform precise marking, cutting, grinding, and edge preparation (beveling) on heavy steel plates, beams, and structural channels.
Assembly & Fitting: Align, fit, and clamp heavy structural parts, plates, pipes, and frames using measuring tools, jacks, turnbuckles, and fixtures.
Tack Welding: Perform basic tack welding (SMAW / MIG / FCAW) to secure assembled components before final welding.
Quality Check: Ensure critical dimensions, squareness, flatness, and angles adhere strictly to tolerance limits before passing work to full welding teams.
Safety & Maintenance: Operate overhead cranes, grinders, cutting torches, and fitting tools in strict compliance with plant safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
Technical Skills & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in heavy metal fabrication, structural steel fitting, pressure vessels, or heavy machinery assembly.
Education: ITI in Fitter / Welder / Sheet Metal Worker trade certificate (or equivalent practical work experience).
Core Competencies
Proficient with measuring instruments (measuring tapes, Vernier calipers, height gauges, right angles, magnetic bases).
Hands-on expertise in flame cutting (Oxy-Fuel), plasma cutting, and angle grinding.
Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in SMAW (Arc Welding) or GMAW/MIG tack welding.
Experience working with heavy structural materials (MS, SS, Alloy Steel).
