About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head – NBFC to lead the NBFC business of an MNC group. The role will be responsible for driving business growth across lending and borrowing functions , ensuring profitability, regulatory compliance, robust risk management, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have extensive NBFC experience, strong knowledge of RBI regulations, credit, risk, treasury, ALM, and financial structuring, along with proven leadership and business-scaling capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the NBFC in alignment with the group's objectives.
- Drive growth across lending and borrowing functions and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and scale lending businesses such as retail lending, corporate lending, gold loans, LAP, and digital lending , as applicable.
- Drive innovation in financial products, lending models, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Build strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, financial institutions, and other stakeholders .

Regulatory, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable RBI, SEBI, and statutory regulations .
- Maintain strong governance, internal controls, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Act as a key stakeholder for regulators, auditors, investors, and other external parties.
- Establish and continuously strengthen credit, underwriting, risk, and compliance frameworks.

Financial & Operational Management
- Take ownership of the P&L; and overall financial performance of the NBFC.
- Develop and execute funding and borrowing strategies.
- Oversee treasury, ALM, liquidity management, and financial structuring .
- Monitor credit quality, portfolio performance, operational efficiency,



and cost optimization.
- Drive digitization and technology-led improvements across business operations.

Leadership & Team Management
- Build, lead, and mentor senior teams across credit, risk, finance, treasury, sales, and operations .
- Establish a culture of accountability, performance, innovation, and customer focus.
- Drive organizational transformation and employee engagement.

Key Requirements

Education

- CA / MBA / CFA or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience within the NBFC/financial services sector.
- Minimum 3+ years in a senior leadership/management role .
- Proven experience in building, scaling, and managing lending businesses .
- Experience across retail, corporate, digital lending, or other relevant NBFC business segments will be preferred.

Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, NBFC compliance, credit policies, and governance .
- Strong expertise in credit risk, underwriting, treasury, ALM, liquidity, and financial structuring .
- Understanding of digital lending platforms, fintech partnerships, and emerging financial-services technologies .
- Strong P&L;, business strategy, and operational management capabilities.
