About the Role

Primo Furniture is looking for a Furniture Designer – Design & Execution to work on customized and modular furniture projects from design development to final site execution.

The role involves creating furniture designs and technical drawings while also being involved in site measurements, client coordination, production follow-ups, vendor coordination and installation. The ideal candidate should have a strong design sense along with good technical understanding and an interest in seeing their designs through to execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Drawings

- Develop furniture designs based on client requirements, project specifications and site conditions.
- Prepare detailed working drawings and production drawings for manufacturing.
- Prepare BOQs, material lists and quotations as required.
- Create 3D views/renders for client presentations when required.
- Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, hardware and accessories.
- Ensure designs are practical, functional and suitable for production.
- Make design revisions based on client feedback and site conditions.

Site Visits & Measurements
- Conduct site visits to take accurate measurements and understand site conditions.
- Validate dimensions, layouts and technical requirements before production.
- Identify site constraints and incorporate them into the design.
- Coordinate with site and installation teams during execution.




- Visit sites during installation to ensure execution matches approved drawings and specifications.

Client Coordination
- Understand client requirements and translate them into practical furniture designs.
- Present and explain designs, materials, finishes and hardware to clients.
- Coordinate with clients regarding design changes and specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of approvals and revisions.
- Ensure the final design is aligned with the approved client requirements.

Production & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with production teams and vendors to ensure designs are manufactured accurately.
- Share approved drawings, specifications and material details with the relevant teams.
- Follow up on production timelines and material requirements.
- Resolve design or technical queries during production.
- Conduct or coordinate quality checks before dispatch where required.

Project & Installation Execution
- Track projects from design approval through production, delivery and installation.
- Coordinate with vendors, production and installation teams to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on pending activities.
- Identify and escalate delays, discrepancies or quality issues.
- Support the installation team with drawings and technical clarification.
- Conduct final checks at site and coordinate snag closure before handover.





Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in furniture design, modular furniture or interior design/execution.
- Strong understanding of customized and modular furniture.
- Experience with site measurements and site visits.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray or similar software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of furniture materials, hardware, construction and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prepare detailed working and production drawings.
- Good understanding of space planning and furniture detailing.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
