About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Media team at FLAME University. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in WordPress, PHP, and modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js and React. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the university’s websites, microsites, and web applications to ensure they are engaging, responsive, and aligned with the institution's digital strategy.

The developer will work closely with the Senior Developer and Website Development Lead to implement innovative solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize website performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital presence of a prestigious educational institution, impacting thousands of students, faculty, and external stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in full stack or web development. Proven hands-on experience working on live websites, managing development projects independently,



and troubleshooting complex issues is essential. A strong understanding of web technologies, coding standards, and best practices is required.

Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.

Additional certifications or training in web development, SEO, or related domains will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain websites, webpages, and microsites, ensuring they are engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with the university’s branding and digital strategy.
- Customize and develop WordPress themes, templates, and functionalities to meet specific project requirements.
- Work on PHP and MySQL-based applications, ensuring robust backend performance and security.
- Create responsive webpages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to deliver seamless experiences across devices.
- Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js and React.js, incorporating modern front-end development practices.
- Implement headless WordPress solutions to enable flexible content management and delivery.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services to enhance website functionalities.
- Manage website forms, integrations, and data workflows to support user engagement and operational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website, application, and integration issues promptly.
- Optimize website speed, performance,



and responsiveness to improve user experience and SEO rankings.
- Implement technical SEO best practices to enhance online visibility.
- Perform regular website updates, security checks, and maintenance tasks to ensure stability and security.
- Test websites across various browsers, devices, and screen sizes for compatibility and performance.
- Support ongoing initiatives related to website redesign, development, and feature enhancements.
- Coordinate closely with the Digital Media team to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational goals.
