Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role is a remote, contract position responsible for editing and enhancing video content for Brevia Tech’s digital, marketing, and product initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the video editor will cut and assemble footage, apply color correction and grading, add motion graphics and simple visual effects, and optimize audio to create cohesive and engaging videos.

The role includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to interpret briefs,



aligning edits with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives, and preparing videos in various formats and aspect ratios for use across web, social media, and digital platforms. The video editor will manage project timelines, organize media assets, and provide revisions based on feedback to ensure high-quality, on-brand output.

Qualifications

- Strong video editing and video production skills, with experience assembling narrative and promotional content.
- Proficiency in video color grading, including basic color correction and stylized looks to match brand and project requirements.
- Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and graphics, such as titles, lower thirds, logo animations, and simple visual effects.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Solid understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, export settings, and optimization for web, social media, and mobile platforms.
- Solid visual storytelling sense, attention to detail, and ability to interpret creative briefs and brand guidelines.
- Reliable time management skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and responsiveness to feedback and revision requests.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant video editing and motion graphics work; prior experience with tech, SaaS, or digital businesses is a plus.
