Position Name: Floor Manager

Department: Retail / Sales

Reports To: Showroom Manager / Asst. Manager

Job Purpose To manage the assigned showroom floor, lead the sales team, ensure excellent customer service, achieve sales targets, maintain product presentation, and ensure smooth day-to-day floor operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Floor Operations

- Manage daily operations of the assigned textile showroom floor.
- Ensure the floor is clean, organized and ready for customers.
- Allocate sections and responsibilities to sales staff.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and discipline.
- Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.

2. Sales & Target Achievement

- Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Monitor individual sales staff performance.
- Conduct regular floor briefings and target reviews.
- Identify gaps in sales performance and take corrective action.
- Support the team in converting walk-in customers.

3. Customer Service

- Ensure customers receive professional and personalized service.
- Handle customer queries, complaints and escalations.
- Support sales staff in handling important/high-value customers.
- Ensure proper follow-up with customers where required.

4. Team Management

- Lead, guide and motivate the floor sales team.
- Monitor staff productivity and customer handling.
- Train employees on product knowledge and customer service.
- Resolve day-to-day staff issues.
- Coordinate with HR regarding attendance, discipline and manpower requirements.

5. Billing & Coordination





- Coordinate with billing/cash counter teams for smooth customer transactions.
- Ensure proper coordination between sales, stock, billing and packing teams.
- Follow up on customer orders and special requirements.

6. Reporting

- Prepare daily sales and floor performance reports.
- Track target vs. achievement.
- Report stock requirements, customer complaints and operational issues to management.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in textile, saree, apparel or retail showroom operations is suitable for this role; some current postings specify textile/retail experience as preferred or mandatory depending on the floor.
- Strong team-handling and leadership skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Sales and target-oriented approach.
- Good knowledge of textile products and showroom operations.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and operational issues.
- Basic knowledge of stock, billing and sales reports.
- Willingness to work weekends and during festival/peak seasons.

Salary ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
