Role Description The Faculty of Commerce, Management, and English (Assistant Professor) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Commerce, Management, and English, using a variety of instructional methods to support diverse learning needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, guiding classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring.

The role also involves developing and updating course materials, participating in curriculum design, contributing to academic research or scholarly activities, and engaging in departmental meetings and institutional initiatives. The faculty member is expected to support co-curricular activities, uphold academic integrity, and foster an inclusive,



respectful learning workplace.

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Com, MBA, MA in English) from a recognized university; PhD or ongoing doctoral studies in Commerce, Management, or English are an advantage.
- Demonstrated teaching competence in Commerce and Management subjects, with the ability to relate concepts to current industry and business practices.
- Strong command of English language, including academic writing, classroom communication, and the ability to teach English-related courses effectively.
- Experience with student-centered pedagogy, lesson planning, assessment design, and the use of teaching aids or technology-enhanced learning tools.
- Ability to engage in academic research, publication, or scholarly activities, and to integrate contemporary developments into course content.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including mentoring, counseling, and constructive feedback, with a commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory practices.
- Comfort with digital tools for education (e.g., LMS platforms, presentation software, online resources) and basic data organization for academic records.
- Prior experience in higher education teaching is preferred; familiarity with legal education or interdisciplinary collaboration with law faculty is a plus.
