Position: Executive-Stores (Engineering)

Department: Stores & Warehouse

Location: Saykha, Bharuch

Job Purpose:

To ensure efficient receipt, storage, preservation, issuance, and inventory control of raw materials, engineering spares, consumables, packing materials, finished goods, and other store items while maintaining inventory accuracy, statutory compliance, and uninterrupted support to production and maintenance activities.

Job Profile:

Inventory Management:

- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, preservation, and segregation of all materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.




- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory practices wherever applicable.

Material Receipt & Issue:

- Verify quantity and documentation during material receipt.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for material inspection and release.
- Issue materials to production, maintenance, quality, and other departments as per authorized requisitions.
- Ensure timely material availability to avoid production delays.
- Documentation & SAP Operations
- Perform all inventory transactions in SAP/SAP systems accurately.
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), Gate Passes, Stock
- Registers, Bin Cards, and other inventory records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Ensure proper document control and record retention.

Warehouse Management:

- Maintain proper warehouse layout and material identification.
- Ensure housekeeping as per 5S standards.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Ensure protected storage practices for hazardous and sensitive materials.
- Monitor shelf life and expiry of materials.

Compliance & Safety:

- Follow company SOPs, GMP, EHS, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Participate in inventory audits and external inspections.
- Ensure safe material handling practices.

Coordination:

- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, QA, QC, Finance, and Dispatch teams.
- Support procurement by providing inventory status and reorder information.
- Assist in vendor material reconciliation whenever required.

Continuous Improvement:





- Identify opportunities for inventory optimization.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives in warehouse operations.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and process improvement activities.

Authority

- Accept and issue materials as per approved procedures.
- Update inventory transactions in SAP.
- Report inventory discrepancies to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate stock verification activities.

Desired Profile:

- Diploma Engineering / BE / B.Tech with 2 to 5 years of experience in Stores / Warehouse operations in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, or Engineering industries.
- Additional qualification in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
- Fresh engineers with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
- Strong Knowledge of Inventory Management, SAP / SAP Operations, Material Coding and Warehouse Management, Stock Reconciliation Documentation Control, FIFO / FEFO, ABC Analysis, Cycle Counting and 5S Implementation.
- May require shift duties depending on operational requirements.
