About Valemont CapitalValemont Capital is a research-driven platform focused on the Indian equity markets. We study the macroeconomic, sectoral and business-level changes shaping Indian markets and aim to identify emerging trends, structural opportunities and long-term growth stories before they become obvious.

As an early-stage venture, we are building our research culture from the ground up. We are looking for curious, driven individuals who want to learn by doing and build something with us.

The RoleAs an Equity Research Intern, you will work closely with our research team across the investment research process.

Your work may include

- Conducting company and sector research across Indian equities.
- Understanding business models, competitive advantages and industry dynamics.
- Analysing financial statements, annual reports, investor presentations and management commentary.
- Tracking macroeconomic and market developments that can affect sectors and companies.
- Building basic financial models and valuation frameworks.
- Screening for under-researched companies and emerging growth opportunities.
- Developing investment theses supported by data and primary/secondary research.
- Monitoring companies after the initial research and identifying what has changed.
- Contributing to research reports, market insights and LinkedIn content published by Valemont Capital.
- Presenting your findings clearly and defending your investment thesis.

Educational BackgroundWe are open to candidates from:
- B.Com / BBA / BMS / Economics
- CA / CFA / FRM candidates




- MBA — Finance
- Engineering / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics students with a strong interest in finance
- Other relevant academic backgrounds with demonstrable interest in equity markets

Students in their 2nd, 3rd or final year and recent graduates are welcome to apply. What We Look ForYou don't need to know everything.

- Ability to form an independent opinion and back it with evidence
- Willingness to question assumptions rather than simply follow the crowd
- Genuine curiosity about why markets and businesses behave the way they do

4. Question everything A good researcher doesn't just ask “What happened?” They ask “Why did it happen, what changes next, and who benefits?”

Deadlines, accuracy and quality matter. If something goes wrong, communicate early and take responsibility.

6. Respect confidentiality

Internal research, discussions, data and work products must be treated professionally and confidentially.

7. Be coachable

You will receive feedback. The ability to absorb criticism, improve and come back stronger is essential.
