Role Description The Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for identifying, validating, and building new AI-driven product or venture opportunities for Ovam AI. In this role, the EiR will conduct market and user research, design and test hypotheses, and work closely with technical teams to shape product concepts and MVPs.

The EiR will develop business models, go-to-market strategies, and financial projections, and present clear recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. Day-to-day activities include customer discovery, competitive analysis, defining product requirements, collaborating with engineering and design, and iterating based on feedback and data. The role also involves building partnerships,



supporting fundraising or investor conversations as needed, and mentoring team members on entrepreneurial thinking and execution.

Qualifications

- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with experience founding, leading, or significantly contributing to early-stage startups or recent business lines.
- Ability to conduct structured market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to validate problems and solutions.
- Experience in designing business models, go-to-market strategies, and basic financial models for new ventures.
- Comfort working with technology and AI products, with the ability to translate user needs into product requirements in collaboration with technical teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to pitch ideas and influence decisions.
- Proven capacity to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives from concept through execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience in entrepreneurship is highly valued.
- Prior experience in AI, SaaS, or digital product ecosystems is an advantage, as is familiarity with the Hyderabad startup ecosystem.
