Position Summary

We are looking for a senior EUC Architect to lead end-user computing architecture, workplace platform design, and cross-tower technical governance for the client WPS engagement. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Digital Employee Experience, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM or MECM, with the ability to define technical standards, guide implementation teams, and resolve complex enterprise workplace issues.

Key Responsibilities

EUC Architecture and Technical Governance

- Own end-to-end EUC architecture across modern endpoint management, virtual desktop platforms, device lifecycle, application delivery, security, monitoring, and service operations.
- Define technical roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, design patterns, and implementation guardrails for enterprise workplace services.
- Provide cross-tower technical leadership across EUC, cloud, identity, security, service desk, network, and infrastructure teams.
- Review solution designs, assess technical risks, and ensure the environment is scalable, secure, resilient, and operationally supportable.

Digital Employee Experience

- Design and improve Digital Employee Experience capabilities using telemetry, endpoint analytics, performance insights, proactive monitoring, and automation.
- Use DEX insights to identify recurring endpoint, application, login, network, and virtual desktop experience issues.
- Drive measurable improvements in user experience, device health, incident reduction, and proactive remediation.

Azure Virtual Desktop

- Architect, optimize, and govern Azure Virtual Desktop environments including host pools, session hosts, images, profiles, scaling plans, and user access models.
- Design secure and performant AVD solutions using FSLogix, Entra ID integration, conditional access, monitoring, image management, and automation.
- Troubleshoot complex AVD issues related to profile containers, user sessions, application performance, image updates, capacity, connectivity, and access.

Intune and Up-to-date Endpoint Management

- Lead architecture and operational governance for Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Design device enrollment, compliance, configuration profiles, application deployment, patching,



Autopilot, conditional access integration, and endpoint security policies.
- Establish up-to-date management patterns for Windows endpoints, mobile devices, bring-your-own-device scenarios, and cloud-managed endpoints.

SCCM or MECM Architecture

- Provide architecture and escalation support for SCCM or MECM infrastructure, including site design, client health, distribution, collections, compliance, software deployment, and patch management.
- Support coexistence and transition patterns between MECM and Intune, including co-management and workload migration.
- Improve operational stability through standard build practices, client remediation, reporting, and controlled change execution.

Automation, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code

- Develop or guide automation using PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and workflow automation.
- Support DevOps practices using Git, Azure DevOps pipelines, change-controlled scripts, repeatable deployments, and infrastructure as code.
- Create reusable automation for provisioning, reporting, remediation, health checks, compliance validation, and operational efficiency.

Endpoint Security and Compliance

- Partner with security teams to implement endpoint hardening, conditional access, compliance policies, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration baselines.
- Ensure EUC solutions align with enterprise security standards, audit requirements, operational controls, and risk management expectations.
- Provide guidance for endpoint protection, privileged access, data protection, patch governance, and policy exceptions.

L3 Escalation and Major Incident Support

- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex EUC, DEX, AVD, Intune, and MECM incidents.
- Lead root cause analysis, problem management, remediation planning, and preventive action tracking.
- Support major incidents with clear technical direction, stakeholder communication, and structured recovery steps.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in Digital Employee Experience platforms and endpoint experience analytics.
- Deep architecture and operational experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.




- Strong Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager skills, including Autopilot, compliance, configuration, application deployment, and endpoint security.
- Strong SCCM or MECM experience across software deployment, patching, client health, reporting, and enterprise-scale operations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, identity integration, and modern workplace security controls.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell; Python exposure is preferred.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Microsoft Graph, and operational reporting.
- Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and operating in an enterprise managed services model.

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to DEX tools such as Nexthink, Lakeside, ControlUp, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with AWS WorkSpaces or other virtual desktop technologies.
- Exposure to Patch My PC or similar third-party patching tools.
- Familiarity with SIEM and monitoring platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
- Experience using AI-assisted triage, analytics, or automation to improve EUC operations.

Qualifications and Experience
- 15 to 18+ years of IT infrastructure or workplace services experience, with significant experience in EUC architecture and enterprise endpoint management.
- Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale EUC environments in complex enterprise settings.
- Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide engineering teams, operations teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or equivalent AVD experience.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent Intune experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or relevant Azure certification.
- ITIL certification or equivalent managed services experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior EUC architect who can operate beyond advisory responsibilities. This person should be able to design, validate, troubleshoot, automate, and govern workplace technologies in a live enterprise environment. Candidates who are primarily service delivery managers or people managers without recent hands-on EUC engineering depth may not be suitable for this role.
