Role & responsibilities

A. Electrical O&M;

- Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of the project's complete electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to the museum and associated facilities.
- Monitor electrical systems, identify faults and ensure timely corrective action.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Maintain equipment history, maintenance schedules, checklists and breakdown records.

B. Electrical Systems & Equipment

- Supervise operation and maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, HT/LT panels, PCC, MCC, distribution boards, UPS, DG sets, APFC panels and associated equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical protection systems, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Monitor electrical load, power quality, energy consumption and equipment performance.
- Coordinate testing, servicing and maintenance of transformers, panels, UPS and other critical electrical equipment.

C. External Electrical Works

- Manage and supervise external electrical works, cable laying, cable termination, trenching, electrical distribution and associated infrastructure.
- Review electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules and equipment layouts.
- Ensure proper installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and specialist agencies for electrical maintenance and repair works.

D. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Diagnose electrical faults and lead timely breakdown restoration.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans based on equipment criticality and operating conditions.
- Ensure availability of critical electrical spares and tools.
- Monitor recurring faults and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

E. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards, statutory requirements and project safety procedures.
- Ensure safe isolation, LOTO and permit-to-work procedures are followed during maintenance activities.




- Conduct regular inspection of electrical installations and identify potential safety risks.
- Maintain required electrical test reports, inspection records and statutory documentation.

F. Team & Vendor Management

- Lead and supervise electricians, technicians, operators and electrical contractors.
- Allocate work, monitor performance and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, consultants and specialist agencies for maintenance and technical support.
- Verify contractor work quality and ensure adherence to approved specifications and safety requirements.

G. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly O&M; reports covering equipment status, breakdowns, maintenance activities and energy consumption.
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, inspections and equipment performance.
- Coordinate with Civil, HVAC, Plumbing, BMS, Fire & Safety and other facility teams for integrated O&M; activities.
- Support project management in planning annual maintenance, shutdowns, major repairs and equipment replacement.

Preferred candidate profile

- Robust knowledge of electrical O&M; and facility electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with transformers, HT/LT panels, UPS and electrical distribution systems.
- Good understanding of external electrical works and cable infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, testing and maintenance practices.
- Ability to manage technicians, contractors and vendors.
- Good coordination, communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in O&M; of large infrastructure, institutional, commercial, public-use or similar projects.
- Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in operation and maintenance of large electrical installations, museums, public buildings, hospitality, infrastructure projects or integrated facility management will be preferred.
