Role Description The EKS role at PPStack is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Amazon EKS-based Kubernetes clusters that support the company’s AI-powered learning platforms and digital services. Day-to-day work includes configuring cluster infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized applications, and ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability. The role also involves monitoring performance, optimizing resource usage, and troubleshooting issues across cloud environments.

Collaboration with engineering, data, and product teams is expected to support new features, improve platform resilience, and align infrastructure with business and educational needs.



Documentation of architectures, operational procedures, and best practices is a key part of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including cluster design, deployment, scaling, and upgrades.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with containerization and DevOps practices, including Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and automated deployments.
- Skills in monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, CloudWatch) for performance and reliability management.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud-native environments, including RBAC, service meshes, and secure configuration management.
- Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) to automate operations and improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Familiarity with contemporary software development practices, microservices architectures, and API-driven systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and document technical decisions effectively.
- Background in EdTech, AI/ML platforms, or data-intensive applications is an advantage.
