Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Wire Cut EDM Operator to set up, program, and operate Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-precision components, complex contours, and tooling dies with tight micron-level tolerances according to engineering blueprints..

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Machine Operation & Setup:
- Set up, operate, and monitor Wire Cut EDM machines
- Handle workpiece alignment, clamping, squareness checking, and accurate zero-setting/edge-finding.
- Thread and tension EDM brass wire correctly, and manage dielectric fluid levels and filters.
- Programming & Parameter Optimization:
- Read and interpret 2D/3D technical drawings, CAD files, and GD&T; specifications.
- Generate or load cutting programs and optimize cutting parameters (voltage, current, wire feed, flush pressure, and servo speeds) depending on material hardness (e.g., hardened steel, carbide, titanium).




- Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical projectors, or CMM.
- Ensure components meet strict dimensional tolerances (often within $pm 0.005$ mm or tighter) and surface finish requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on the machine, wire guides, power feed contacts, and flushing systems.
- Troubleshoot minor operational errors, wire breakages, or surface burn issues during production runs.
