Design & Estimation Engineer Industrial Refrigeration The Role

Infra Cool is expanding its engineering capabilities in low-temperature and specialized refrigeration applications, including refrigeration systems associated with freeze-drying equipment.

We are looking for a Design & Estimation Engineer responsible for refrigeration system design, equipment selection, estimation and technical-commercial support for customer projects.

The position offers exposure to international OEM technology, low-temperature refrigeration systems, system integration and project engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and estimate low-temperature and industrial refrigeration systems.
- Carry out refrigeration load calculations and equipment selection.
- Prepare P&IDs;, equipment schedules, BOMs and cost estimates.
- Review freeze-dryer OEM requirements and develop the refrigeration interface.
- Coordinate with international OEMs and equipment suppliers on technical matters.
- Prepare technical-commercial proposals and support the sales team.
- Support tender/bid preparation, including technical compliance and costing.




- Provide engineering support during installation and commissioning.

Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in refrigeration design and estimation.
- Experience in industrial or low-temperature refrigeration will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of refrigeration equipment, systems and controls.
- Experience with AutoCAD, P&IDs;, BOMs, equipment selection and costing.
- Ability to understand technical documentation from international equipment manufacturers.
- Experience in tender/bid preparation will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn freeze drying and specialized low-temperature refrigeration applications.
