Job Responsibilities

- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, component drawings and assembly drawings.

- Design casting components, patterns, core boxes, fixtures and related tooling.

- Review customer drawings, technical specifications and quality requirements.

- Check component feasibility, dimensions, tolerances and machining allowances.

- Develop and modify designs using NX, AutoCAD or similar design software.

- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), drawing revisions and engineering documents.

- Coordinate with NPD, Production, Pattern Shop, Quality and Machine Shop teams.

- Support current product development from drawing review to sample approval.

- Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements in product quality, cost and manufacturability.

- Perform tolerance stack-up, weight calculations and material-selection activities.

- Resolve design-related problems during development and production.

- Maintain drawing records, revision history and document-control requirements.

- Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and applicable engineering standards.

- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA and control-plan documentation when required.





Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Siemens NX and AutoCAD.

- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T; and dimensional tolerances.

- Knowledge of sand-casting processes, patterns, core boxes and machining allowances.

- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.

- Knowledge of 3D modelling, drafting, assemblies and surface modelling.

- Good problem-solving, communication and interdepartmental coordination skills.

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, ERP and document-control systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in a foundry, casting or engineering manufacturing company.

- Hands-on experience in designing casting components and tooling.

- Ability to independently understand customer drawings and technical requirements.

- Candidates from Rajkot or nearby locations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
