Profile Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional in the field of Material Management for the position of Deputy Manager - Material Management. The ideal candidate will oversee and direct a team in managing material receipt, safe storage, and distribution to end-users. They will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, ensuring inventory accuracy, and eliminating losses due to obsolescence or expiry.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Business Management.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience managing a large, multi-SKU warehouse for an FMCG manufacturing unit, including at least 2 years of independent experience as a Plant Stores In-charge.
- SAP Proficiency: Strong, hands-on working experience with the SAP MM Module.
- Stock Monitoring: Proven experience using SAP tools to track and monitor stock levels, analyze material aging, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Compliance: Robust awareness of all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to inventory control and management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem anticipation, identification, and resolution skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Inventory Management: Manage the entire category of materials required for plant operations,



including Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), consumables, and spares.
- Transaction Accuracy: Oversee daily material receipts and issues, ensuring all transactions are properly documented without lapses or deviations.
- Data Reconciliation: Monitor stock levels and reconcile data using warehouse management software.
- Storage Optimization: Ensure a systematic receipt of materials, label them and put away in well-identified bins for safekeeping and easy retrieval.
- Shelf-Life Tracking: Monitor material lifecycles, routinely identify slow- or non-moving inventory, and coordinate with end-users to find alternative consumption options before expiry.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate the warehouse team to optimize their performance.
- Standards Compliance: Maintain store operations in strict compliance with ISO standards.
- Deviation Control: Track and escalate all operational deviations, discuss corrective actions with regional managers, and implement solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate effectively with other functional departments, including Production and Purchase.
