Novus is a US-based paid media agency. Our engineering team supports business operations and innovation by building and maintaining the infrastructure and data feeds for measurement, insight and reporting. You will own and support the data infrastructure, models and transformation of the data feeds from a variety of media partners, normalizing and maintaining the data in an environment that is stable and current to ensure our results and insights are accurate and robust.

You will operate as an embedded member of the Novus Technology team following best practices for enterprise engineering to ensure the integrity and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities

- Build, maintain and optimize Snowflake data models, views and transformations
- Validate and reconcile data across multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracy
- Implement, manage and troubleshoot data feeds
- Have or develop awareness of what is available in vendor/partner APIs and data feeds (develop subject matter expertise)
- Normalize and standardize media data across disparate platforms (naming conventions, schemas, etc.)
- Implement consistent data typing, casting and transformation logic
- Develop and maintain regex-based parsing logic for file ingestion and classification
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and proactively identify data quality issues — partner with data ops and project managers to work on priority-based incident response and issue resolution
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure datasets support trusted reporting and dashboards
- Improve performance and maintainability of existing queries and pipelines

Required Skills and Experience

- 4+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering roles (or equivalent hands-on pipeline experience)




- Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies
- Snowflake
- Azure (Data Factory, storage or related services)
- AWS (S3, IAM, Step Functions)
- SQL (advanced level)
- Alteryx (preferred, but not required)
- dbt knowledge; comfortable working within a medallion architecture
- Experience working within a structured version control environment through Azure DevOps, following standard change management protocols, code management, etc.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline best practices via Azure DevOps
- Experience with media or marketing data sources such as (agency-side experience preferred)
- Programmatic platforms (Viant, Yahoo, Amazon, etc.)
- Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, etc.)
- Ad servers (Campaign Manager, etc.)
- Experience with a variety of data feeds (Excel, CSV, APIs) and experience managing inconsistent schemas
- Strong understanding of data normalization and standardization in marketing datasets
- Proven experience with data validation, QA and reconciliation
- Experience with Claude Code or some other agentic development platform

Nice to have

- Experience with Im-provado or similar marketing ETL tools
- Familiarity with regex-based file handling and parsing logic
- Experience building reusable data models or transformation frameworks
- Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
