Role Description The Cruise Trainer is responsible for delivering structured training programs that prepare candidates for various cruise line positions, ensuring they meet international hospitality and maritime standards. In this full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, the trainer will plan and conduct classroom and practical sessions, develop training materials and lesson plans, and assess participant performance through tests, simulations, and evaluations.

The role includes coaching candidates on service excellence, safety procedures, cultural awareness, communication skills, and shipboard etiquette.

The Cruise





Trainer will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep course content current with industry requirements, maintain training records, provide feedback for improvement, and support candidates during certification and placement processes.

Qualifications

- Strong training, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners.
- Experience in hospitality, cruise line operations, or maritime training, preferably in a customer-facing or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills to guide candidates in skilled behavior and soft skills.
- Ability to design and update training content, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple batches, schedules, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of international safety and compliance expectations for shipboard roles; familiarity with STCW or similar standards is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (e.g., MS Office, email, online resources) for training delivery and record keeping.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Maritime Studies, Education, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
