About the Role

The CoE & Control Tower Lead is the single accountable owner for systems adoption and operational visibility across the Logistics & Distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

A. Systems adoption & network design

- Drive end-to-end adoption of TMS across all distribution centers and the store network — from go-live to full usage and reporting.
- Convert manual, DC-by-DC processes into system-run processes, each with a measured before-and-after baseline.
- Own network design and periodic network review, with a planned, data-led approach.
- Collaborate with IT and the SC Transformation Lead on the build, and assume ownership of field adoption, whereby IT delivers the build and this role secures usage.

B. Control tower, MIS & reporting
- Operate the control tower as the consolidated, authoritative source of operational KPIs across all DCs and lanes.
- Replace fragmented DC-by-DC reporting with one consolidated dashboard and MIS suite, published weekly.
- Own operational data quality and one-version reporting on OTIF, order fill rate, dispatch accuracy, inventory health and cost.

C. Early warning & exception management
- Identify potential SLA breaches, stock-out risk and service failures in advance — ideally seven days ahead — rather than after the resulting sales loss has occurred.
- Define escalation paths and drive closure of flagged exceptions with the DC Managers and Supply Planning.
- Replace manual indent follow-up with system-driven exception management.

D. Service, inventory & damage standards
- Set dispatch-accuracy and perfect-order standards for the network (in full, damage-free, documentation right).
- Track inventory accuracy, ageing and perfect-order fulfilment at line level across all DCs.
- Own damage and shrinkage norms and build recovery into the 3PL contract.

Analytics & decision support
- Provide the underlying data set — freight cost per case, cost versus MRE, vehicle fill and capacity utilization — on which the Capacity & Sourcing and Cost Control leads base their decisions.
- Support network changes, carrier selection, lane-rate and capex decisions with control-tower analytics.
- Track and report the operational benefits delivered through systems adoption.

F. Automation, AI & continuous improvement
- Apply design-thinking to examine every manual process through an automation and scale lens, uncovering opportunities to remove effort, error and cost.
- Use AI tools to ideate, create and implement automated workflows across planning, warehousing and distribution.
- Build and priorities a pipeline of automation opportunities and convert them into system-run processes with measured before-and-after impact.

G. Contingency & festive readiness
- Build and maintain contingency plans for the distribution network — covering DC outages, transporter failures, and vehicle and labor shortages — to safeguard operational continuity.
- Own festive and peak-season readiness across all DCs and lanes, including capacity ramp-up, buffer-stock positioning and surge-lane planning ahead of demand spikes.
- Define fallback routing and alternate-3PL arrangements, and run periodic business-continuity drills, so that service levels are maintained during disruption.




- Coordinate escalation and recovery with DC Managers, Supply Planning and 3PL partners during peak and contingency events.

- Head of Logistics & Distribution (reporting manager); DC Managers; Capacity & Sourcing Lead; Cost Control & Budgeting (SC Finance).
- Supply Planning (inventory norms), National S&OP;, SC Transformation Lead and IT (systems build and adoption).

External
- 3PL partners operating the distribution centers; TMS and WMS solution vendors; transporters.

Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations; MBA in Supply Chain, Operations or Analytics preferred.
- 3–7 years in supply chain or logistics, with strong exposure to WMS / TMS implementation and control-tower or analytics roles.
- Proven record of driving systems adoption across a multi-site distribution network; QSR, FMCG or retail-distribution experience preferred.
- Hands-on with SAP (VC / MM), TMS, WMS and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Skills & Competencies
- Systems implementation with robust change- and adoption-management capability.
- Data analytics, dashboarding and MIS design, including the capability to establish a single, consistent version of reporting.
- Process re-engineering — converting manual processes to system-run, with baseline discipline.
- Stakeholder management across IT, Operations, Finance and 3PL partners.
- Control-tower and exception-management orientation, with an emphasis on early warning.
- Single-point ownership and maker-checker discipline across the function.
- Hands-on use of AI tools to ideate, create and implement automated workflows.
- Design-thinking mindset — views every manual process from an automation and scale perspective to uncover opportunities.
