Sunder Spices Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a responsible and experienced Cold Store Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the cold storage facility and ensure proper storage, handling, inventory control, hygiene, and timely movement of products and raw materials.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in cold storage/warehouse operations, inventory management, temperature monitoring, documentation, and team supervision, preferably in the FMCG, food processing, spices, or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cold Store Operations

- Supervise day-to-day operations of the cold storage facility.
- Ensure proper storage and stacking of raw materials, finished goods, and other temperature-sensitive materials as per company requirements.
- Maintain appropriate temperature and environmental conditions inside the cold store.
- Monitor and record temperature and humidity at defined intervals.
- Ensure proper utilization of available cold storage space.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, batch-wise and lot-wise storage of materials.

2. Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate physical inventory of materials stored in the cold store.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Production, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch teams for material movement.
- Ensure timely inward and outward movement of materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain batch-wise, lot-wise, and quantity-wise inventory records.
- Ensure proper documentation for all receipts, transfers, and dispatches.

3. Quality & Food Safety

- Ensure storage conditions comply with company quality and food-safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, pest-control standards, and proper housekeeping in the cold store.
- Ensure materials are stored without contamination, damage,



moisture exposure, or deterioration.
- Immediately report damaged, expired, contaminated, or abnormal stock to the concerned department.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspection, quarantine, release, and disposal of materials wherever applicable.

4. Temperature & Equipment Monitoring

- Monitor cold-room temperature and maintain daily temperature logs.
- Report temperature deviations immediately to management/maintenance.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of refrigeration systems, temperature sensors, doors, racks, and related equipment.
- Take appropriate action during power failure, equipment breakdown, or temperature excursions as per company procedure.

5. Team Supervision

- Supervise and allocate work to cold-store helpers and warehouse staff.
- Ensure employees follow safety, hygiene, PPE, and company operating procedures.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and work performance of the team.
- Train employees on proper material handling, storage practices, and safety procedures.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain records of:
- Material inward/outward
- Stock registers
- Temperature and humidity logs
- Batch/lot details
- Physical stock verification
- Damaged/expired stock
- Material transfer records
- Cleaning and housekeeping records
- Equipment maintenance records
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by management.




- Immediately report stock discrepancies, temperature deviations, material damage, or operational issues.

7. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable food-storage requirements.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Maintain clear aisles and safe stacking of materials.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the cold storage area.
- Follow emergency procedures in case of refrigeration failure, fire, power failure, or other operational emergencies.

- Agricultural / Perishable Products

Education

Minimum: Graduate / Diploma

Preferred: B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, Diploma in Food Technology, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or related field.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in cold storage, warehouse, stores, inventory, or food manufacturing operations.
