About the Role

Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) is seeking experienced Civil Engineers for a prestigious 400 kV Transmission Line and Substation EPCM project located at Rapar, Gujarat. The selected candidates will be deployed at the project site and will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and coordinating civil construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise civil construction activities for 400 kV substations and transmission line infrastructure.
- Review and monitor excavation, foundation, RCC, structural steel, equipment foundations, control room buildings, cable trenches, roads, drains, and other associated civil works.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, client representatives, design teams, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Inspect civil works, verify measurements, and certify contractor bills as per project requirements.
- Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures at site.
- Review construction methodologies, method statements, work procedures, and contractor submissions.
- Monitor compliance with statutory, safety, health, and environmental requirements.




- Identify construction issues and proactively resolve technical and execution-related challenges.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports and participate in project review meetings.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for smooth execution of substation and transmission infrastructure works.

Desired Candidate Profile
- 5 to 12 years of experience in civil construction supervision of Power Transmission, Substation, Power Plant, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial Projects.
- Experience in 220 kV / 400 kV / 765 kV Substation projects will be preferred.
- Knowledge of RCC structures, structural steel works, foundations, buildings, drainage systems, roads, and utility infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IS codes, construction standards, and project execution practices.
- Ability to review engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contractor documents.
- Solid coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in EPC/EPCM projects for Transmission Line and Substation works.
- Exposure to site quality control, contractor management, and project monitoring.
- Experience working with utilities, transmission companies, or major EPC organizations.
