A CBSE Chemistry Teacher is responsible for delivering the NCERT/CBSE syllabus, managing safe laboratory experiments, and preparing students for board exams and competitive tests. Key requirements include an M.Sc. in Chemistry, a B.Ed. degree, strong classroom management skills, and a solid understanding of CBSE evaluation patterns.

Responsibilities

- Curriculum Delivery: Design and execute daily, monthly, and yearly lesson plans strictly aligned with CBSE/NCERT guidelines.
- Exam Preparation: Prepare high school students (Classes 11–12) for the CBSE Board exams and competitive exams (e.g., JEE/NEET) using mock tests and previous years' question papers.
- Assessment: Conduct periodic tests, practical assessments, and quizzes, while fairly evaluating answer sheets and tracking student academic growth.

1. Laboratory & Safety Management

- Practical Sessions: Conduct hands-on chemistry practicals (e.g., volumetric and salt analysis).
- Safety Protocols: Educate students on lab safety rules,



ensure responsible chemical handling, and maintain incident-free lab sessions.
- Inventory: Maintain lab equipment, chemical logs, stock registers, and procure supplies as needed.

1. Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, followed by a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- Experience: Typically 2 to 5 years of prior teaching experience in a reputed CBSE school.
- Certifications: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or STET is often preferred by CBSE institutions.
- Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent verbal communication, tech-savviness, and the ability to handle diverse groups of learners.
