Vedam Restaurant is looking for an experienced and responsible Cashier with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in restaurants, hotels, retail outlets, or similar establishments. The candidate should be well-groomed, honest, customer-friendly, and capable of handling cash and billing operations accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Generate customer bills and ensure correct billing of food items.
- Maintain daily cash records and reconcile cash at the end of the shift.
- Handle POS/billing software and maintain transaction records.
- Manage refunds, discounts, and payment-related queries as authorized.
- Ensure proper collection and recording of all restaurant payments.
- Coordinate with service and kitchen staff regarding billing requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
- Provide polite and professional assistance to customers.
- Report any billing discrepancies or cash differences to the management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cash counter.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of cashier experience, preferably in a restaurant.
- Good basic computer and billing/POS knowledge.
- Solid numerical and communication skills.
- Honest, punctual, responsible, and customer-friendly.
- Good grooming and professional appearance.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy restaurant hours.
