Business Analytics – Mentor Role

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analytics or Data Analytics Mentor to conduct live, interactive online sessions and mentor learners through an industry-oriented AI Powered Business Analytics program.

The mentor will guide learners from business problem definition and data preparation through analysis, visualization, AI-assisted insights, recommendations, and capstone presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct live, interactive online sessions with concept explanations, live tool demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and case studies.
- Guide learners in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python/Pandas, and AI tools.
- Facilitate learner participation through questions, discussions, activities, and practical exercises.
- Guide learners through the Business Analytics lifecycle: Problem Definition → Data Collection → Data Cleaning → Analysis → Interpretation → Decision Making.
- Review assignments, dashboards, SQL queries, analyses, and projects; conduct doubt-clearing and live project evaluation sessions.
- Demonstrate practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for data cleaning, analysis, insight generation, and reporting.
- Guide learners in data storytelling and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor the end-to-end capstone from raw data through dashboard, AI insights, recommendations, and final presentation.
- Build and demonstrate practical AI workflows/agents, where applicable.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Business Analytics: Business and Data Analytics fundamentals, analytics lifecycle, KPI-driven analysis, business insights, and decision-making.

- Advanced Excel: Data cleaning, formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables/Charts, dashboards, Power Query, and basic automation.

- SQL: Intermediate to advanced SQL including joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs,



CASE statements, window functions, and data cleaning.

- Power BI: Power Query, data modeling, DAX, measures/KPIs, time intelligence, interactive dashboards, and sharing.

- Tableau: Data preparation, calculated fields, visualizations, interactive dashboards, calculations, and sharing.

- Statistics: Descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, hypothesis testing, T-test, ANOVA, Chi-square, correlation, A/B testing, and time-series concepts.

- Python/Pandas: Python fundamentals, Pandas, data cleaning/transformation, aggregation, merging, and basic visualization.

- Predictive & Customer Analytics: Regression, decision trees, clustering, RFM analysis, customer segmentation, and business application of predictive analytics.

- Generative AI: ChatGPT/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, AI-assisted analytics, insight generation, reporting, and responsible AI usage.

- AI Automation / Agentic AI: Basic AI workflows/agents; working knowledge of tools such as n8n, Flowise, or Langflow.

- Data Storytelling: Communicating analytical findings, recommendations, and business impact to non-technical audiences.

Mentoring Skills

- Proven experience conducting live, interactive online training or mentoring sessions.
- Robust verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with different skill levels.
- Ability to troubleshoot learner questions and problems in real time.
- Hands-on, learner-centric teaching approach.
- Experience reviewing projects and providing constructive feedback.

Experience

- 3+ years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, BI, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience delivering real-world business analytics projects, dashboards, and insights.
- Experience mentoring or training students and/or working professionals.
- Experience conducting live online interactive sessions.
