About the Role:

A Biomedical Calibration Engineer ensures medical equipment functions accurately, safely, and compliantly with regulatory standards ISO 17025 &

- NABL by performing scheduled testing, adjustments, and repairs. They calibrate devices like ventilators, IV pumps, and patient monitors, maintain documentation for auditing, and provide training to hospital staff, working as field engineers or within clinical engineering departments

- Calibration &
- Validation:

Perform scheduled calibration on biomedical equipmentincluding diagnostic, life-support, and imaging devices—to ensure performance falls within manufacturer specifications.

- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Adhere to maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, ensure device reliability, and manage safety, reducing the risk of equipment failure.

- Documentation &

- Reporting:

Maintain detailed calibration records, including certificates,



service reports, and inventory management, ensuring compliance with NABL auditing standards.

- Technical Support &

- Troubleshooting:

Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on malfunctioning equipment in laboratories or hospital field environments.

- Electrical Safety Testing: Conduct rigorous safety testing of medical instruments to ensure patient and operator safety, adhering to safety guidelines.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all devices meet necessary national and international standards (e.g., AERB for imaging equipment).

- Quality Control &

- Evaluation:

Inspect current equipment before clinical use and evaluate old equipment for repair or condemnation.
