The platform serves as a retail order management and product directory tool, enabling retailers to plan purchases, manage inventory, and access detailed product information securely. Distributors use Zump® to optimize business by route and brand, manage logistics and deliveries, monitor sales patterns, and improve cash flow and inventory control.

Role Description This is a full time, on-site Backend Developer role based in Vadodara.

The Backend

Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications that power Zump®’s eCommerce and order management platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing APIs, integrating databases and external services, ensuring data security and performance, and troubleshooting production issues. The role involves collaborating closely with front-end developers, product managers, and QA specialists to deliver high-quality features, improve system reliability, and support continuous platform enhancements.

Developer will also participate in code reviews, write technical documentation, and contribute to architectural decisions that support growth and stability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Back-End Web Development and general Software Development for building scalable, secure applications.
- Candidates should possess solid Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills for designing clean, maintainable code and reusable components.
- Candidates should possess basic Front-End Development skills to effectively integrate and troubleshoot interfaces and APIs in collaboration with UI teams.
- Candidates should possess experience with modern backend frameworks and languages (e.g., Node.js, Java, C#, Python, or similar) and relational/non-relational databases.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with RESTful APIs, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment practices across staging and production environments.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in an on-site, cross-functional team setting.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Experience with eCommerce, FMCG, or B2B platforms, and knowledge of performance optimization and security best practices, will be considered an advantage.
