Role Description: As an Assistant Store Manager at JUSTDOGS® in Surat, you will support daily store operations and help ensure an engaging, pet-friendly retail environment. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising staff, overseeing visual merchandising, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with opening and closing procedures.

You will handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and promote products that best meet the needs of pets and their families. The role also involves maintaining store cleanliness and safety, supporting retail loss prevention measures, tracking sales performance, and collaborating with the Store Manager to implement promotions and meet targets.



You will be expected to lead by example, foster a positive team culture, and uphold company standards for service and pet welfare.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers, team members, and management.
- Practical experience in Store Management, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with attention to detail and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prior retail or pet-care industry experience is preferred, with a genuine interest in animals and responsible pet parenting.
- Basic proficiency in POS systems and retail software, along with solid organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, support light physical tasks, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
