Role Purpose The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring consistent standards of guest service, team performance, operational efficiency, and overall restaurant discipline.
The role involves supervising front-of-house operations during service, conducting pre-shift briefings, allocating sections and responsibilities, monitoring service standards, managing guest requirements, and ensuring effective coordination between the service team, kitchen, bar, reservations, and other departments.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is expected to have strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu and product knowledge, service procedures, POS systems, billing, reservations, inventory control, and restaurant opening and closing procedures. The role also involves monitoring daily sales, covers, average spend, discounts, voids, complimentary items, guest feedback, and other operational reports.
The position is responsible for supporting staff training and development, monitoring grooming and attendance, maintaining staff discipline, preparing or assisting with duty rosters,
identifying training requirements, and ensuring that all team members follow restaurant SOPs and service standards.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager should actively interact with guests, recognize regular and VIP guests, handle complaints and service recovery professionally, monitor guest satisfaction, and ensure that feedback is communicated to the relevant teams and management.
The role also involves assisting with stock and inventory control, coordinating requisitions, monitoring breakages and wastage, maintaining restaurant assets and equipment, and ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety, health and safety, and other operational requirements.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in restaurant operations with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities. Robust leadership, communication, problem-solving, guest-handling, and team-management skills are essential. The candidate should be organized, commercially aware, well-groomed, and capable of remaining composed and making effective operational decisions during high-volume service periods.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
